Sandy Lake welcomes New Year's baby

Big sister Joelynn Mandy King sits with the newest addition to her family, Jizelle Mary-Jane King.

Jizelle was born on January 1, 2009 at 6:19 a.m. at the Women's Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, weighing in at 9 lbs., 10 oz.

This is the second child for Natasha King and James Mamakeesic of Sandy Lake.



Deputy Chief keeps his fans happy

On a recent trip to Toronto, Sandy Lake’s Bart Meekis was mobbed by a group of ladies for his autograph and photo. And it wasn’t because of his Deputy Chief status.
