Video Update: Additional Footage July 22, 2011
1. On July 22, 2011 Chief Adam Fiddler and MNR surveyed the fires from a helicopter that have posed a threat to the community causing the full evacuation of Sandy Lake.

2. A small group of community members have remained in Sandy Lake to ensure vital operations continue and are protected.
Along with Chief Adam Fiddler and Councillor Fabian Crowe, workers for the hydro plant, water treatment plant, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Services, Health Authority, Corporation, Canadian Rangers, Northern Store, administration and technical support, and cooks say hello to all the evacuees providing reassurance that all is well at this time.

3. Not forgetting the pets of the community, volunteers have been making sure all dogs are being fed.
